Yeah. I've never bought into the "tone is in the fingers" argument (a little bit is, but with gear as varying as Dual Rectifiers to Champ 600's, theres a lot of variation in gear.) What I've learnt recently is just how much of that tone is in the pickups. Scooped set of pickups into a clean platform and you're largely there.
