Sorry but Sawyer didn't whisper anything about Hurley. Or at least that wasn't what Kate was doing secretly. Jack had been visiting Hurley all along
and Kate was upset he didn't tell her HE went to see Hurley that night.
When Jack came in and caught Kate talking on the phone she was talking about meeting up with someone. Then she told Jack it was a mother from a play group. The feeling they gave was she was meeting someone from Sawyer's past. I'm presuming the mother of Clementine. Remember when Sawyer was in jail that time and he just wanted his money given to Clementine. He knows about her and he cares. He probably had Kate promise to look her up and when she did she probably discovered that Clementine's mom was none other than her old "friend". Therefore they have probably forged some sort of secret relationship in which she gets to help her out and make sure Sawyer's little girl is okay. As for the finale, so apparently in the 3 or 4 years they've been gone some really bad things happened on the island and John had to move it like Ben did and leave himself? And then he went around secretly contacting each of them and telling them they have to go back before someone caught up to him and killed him. So next season we may start to see what happened to those left behind and what happens if they go back or how they get back? Do we assume that Des and Penny are sailing happily ever after and never went home to evil pop Widmore? And what happened to the raft full of people with Faraday? Did they just disentegrate or were they close enough to the island that they moved with it? Why is Sun angry at Jack? Because he told them to lie? He wasn't the one who made the decision they couldn't land again. The pilot did right? And aside from the fact that they wanted us guessing who was in the coffin the reason all the others were using ithe Jeremy name was probably when he visited him they realized they might be being watched and if they slipped and used it anyone would be curious because John Locke supposedly died on the plane. The only one who questioned it was Hurley when he asked why they weren't just using his name. Remember his conversation with Sayid later. He sees dead people but so far he hasn't been paranoid. Apparently after their run in with Locke everyone else became a bit paranoid. And is Claire really dead because she occurred to Kate in a dream the way Christian and others who were dead have appeared to people in the past? And I guess Michael is dead as well because the island had it's representative Christian "release" him. Aurelia

NIce post. ^ I though the last episode was awesome and talk about a 2 hour ride... I'm satisfied. And I too have so many questions, most pertaining to Lock
and his future in/with the show. I remember reading people who said it was lock in the coffin- I just still hope he still plays a pivotal character in the
show. In the begging seasons, it just seemed like the island and lock were meant to be and he was what lost was really about. But I guess I've been wrong
for awhile now, and it's just Ben running around playing with everyones head while killing everyone else. Sorry for being sad and it's still a great
episode!

Rea, you're right about the whisper! I need to go back and watch the whole season again.

Just a few ideas.
So "Jeremy Bentham" Locke, had been visiting everyone. He came to Walt, Jack, Kate, so he probably came to Sun. He could have told her that Jin is still alive on the island. Jin was on the edge of the ship. Perhaps he landed in the water and Faradays boat rescued him and made it back close enough to be swept away with the island or perhaps the explosion blew him into the water close enough to be pulled in? Then Sun could be trying to not only get revenge on Widmore but also use him to get back to the island? Long shot I know but I so want Jin to be alive. And did Locke visit Kate and finally reveal that Sawyer is alive as well? And what about Walt? Neither Locke on his visit or Hurley could bear to tell the kid his dad is dead?? That's wrong. I screamed when the island disappeared into the water. That shit is out of control.
I cannot believe Locke is dead! How the heck did that happen? He's like...Mr. Island-protector! For sure I thought there would be a huge faith vs. science showdown when Jack got back to the island. This episode had a good mini showdown, though. Still, Locke! I'm shocked. I'm with Rea - I figure Sawyer said something about Clementine. Their final kiss was pretty heartbreaking. So was Sun screaming! ACK! I didn't enjoy that at all. I cannot believe Jin is gone. You think Jack did something else to make her angry besides asking them to lie? |

Oooh, other totally crazy idea. They have to travel back ALL together. Jack can't crash land on the island (according to Ben) because the island
doesn't want JUST HIM. So they must get everyone and that includes dead body of John Locke. Hmmm, I'm seeing a parallel.
Remember another plane with a dead body?? Jack's dad?? What if the island not only wanted them but wanted Jacks dad. There seems to be a strange connection Christian has with the island. I mean, he's dead but he's everywhere, he's the island "spokesman" many times. What if HE had been there before?? What if when he returned to his regular life he was so messed up he drank all the time, another parallel/ie Jack? And if they go back, will the island reanimate John Locke or use him as another ghost like guru? So whatever they do, go back on the island to the three years we didn't see where Locke was alive and we can see where all the shit went wrong, or have them land and then "use" Locke in some other way, I'm sure we'll see more of Terry O'Quinn. I've been watching the old episodes online because I missed a few when first starting this show and there was something interesting that I think will have
to come up again. In the episodes where they do Claire's flashback in Season 1...she goes to see the psychic. And he warns her that she must be the one
that raises Aaron or the child will be in severe danger. He is the one that actually puts her on the plane. I didn't even remember that part...but it made
me think of it when Jack told Kate they had to go back and take Aaron also.

Aurelia, I totally agree. We haven't seen the last of Locke. One question I have is do they need Desmond to get back to the island too? Or just those who
were on Flight 815?

Okay, this recap is great for refreshing my memory and filling in some plot gaps, but, HELL, there are a lot of commercials.

Best convo of the night:
Locke: What's that? Richard: A compass. Locke: What does it do? Richard: It faces North, John! The skips in time were well-done, but if that continues much more, it's going to get annoying.

I liked it, but a lot of the mystery is certainly gone. Now I'll be watching because I care about these characters. Dr. Science is mad at me because
he's out of town and our TiVo punked out on taping both hours after the recap hour. Hopefully we can DL it.
