Laimatia, why don't you delete that. It's none of your business. I think that falls under gossip anyway. Nobody cares about his family drama and we
don't want to read that here.

Yes...well on a brighter note, this google alert headline from yesterday claims that John will be doing
Hard Rock Calling again this year_but the article attached to it doesn't mention his name...so I wonder now: ... performing at next month's annual, giant Hard Rock Calling weekend concert in Hyde Park in London with the likes of Bruce Springsteen and John Mayer. ... http://www.11alive.com/news/local/story.aspx?storyid=130641&catid=39

i think it would've been widely publicized if he were doing that show laila. just went to the official website of hard rock calling and there's no
mention of him. http://www.hardrockcalling.co.uk/lineup/index.aspx
looks like the local news team changed their story after you posted, too. it's been changed to springsteen and neil young |

Yeah...I think they originally took that from last year's line up, who knows?? But it did seem as if we would
have heard about it way before this, if it's next month... "I am severely full of shit 18 out of 24 hrs!" -JM ~Laila~ |

Many a deal has been struck courtside at Staples or before that, the Forum. Oh and you know that how? They do not, that is ridiculous. No one makes deals at a Laker's game, they might be there to be seen, but deals are made where no one can hear. Not in a public forum, or in the parking lot or in a bar at the game...I think Jack Nicholson would beat anyone who would try to talk to him before, during or after a game... He storms in, yells through the game and storms out. He takes his basketball seriously. This is Hollywood where deals are hush, hush till they are nailed down and locked up and super glued shut. No one here who is serious would risk being overheard. debbie there came a moment in the middle of the song when he suddenly felt
every heartbeat in the room & after that he never forgot he was part of something much bigger...Brian Andres

Thank you very much MSM'ers. I was unable to check in until now, but was quite delighted to see what I saw in this thread.
I think some things are just meant to be personal. When it comes to family matters (and particularly ones that John has no influence over and ones that aren't any reason to celebrate), I think those things should be off MSM. I'm disappointed that papers would even print about that. It's really not anyone's business. So, thank you to everyone for keeping that matter off the board. I appreciate it. |

Perhaps this is not the time for lots of posts on the "Johnny we want you to know" thread either? Just following up what Debbie and Richard posted.
(No offense to the people who did post there, just a suggestion)

I agree with that. There are only 2 posts and both are pretty innoncent and well meant. So, I figured I just leave them be. I'll monitor accordingly
though.

Kimono: I think you are right about the Lakers game. Perhaps not a "deal" itself is made on the floor, but certainly a LOT of networking is going on.
Thus, many a "deals" are struck.
"People are like boxes of colors. Sometimes you meet the standard 16 count. I like to consider myself the 64 count box with the sharpener in the back. Lately I've been meeting the jumbo 8 kind. Its like your talking to someone about magenta & she says 'Oh, purple. I know that game' & you're like 'no bitch I'm talking about magenta!" ~ JM |

JM1983 wrote:That was precisely my meaning. I'm not suggesting they are signing contracts in the open, but there are ways of networking and negotiating at an event. It's completely common in corporate America to take a client or a potential dealmaker to a sporting event and discuss business. Even in the open like that. I've seen it done thousands of times -- basketball games, football games, golf outings, you name it. My former company had a corporate skybox reserved with season tickets at the local NFL stadium for this specific purpose.

Obviously, he's probably not as affected a "child" would be per se, but a pick me up can't hurt if it's heartfelt. |
