I don't see why its so shocking that John would reference porn. Not that 2Girls1Cup even qualifies as porn. It's more gross fetish. But whatever.
The nature of it is not inconsistent with things John has written or joked about in radio shows, columns that he has written, maybe even double entendre jokes
in some of his blogs.
In fact, if a fan does not know about his interest (along with every other hot blooded guy's interest) in porn or things that run round the world of pop
culture, then perhaps the fan didn't know him as well as the fan thought. That's not Mayer's fault. People are just gonna have to learn to roll
with the punches and deal. He's 30 years old. He's not a father figure or a role model to every teenage girl in America. Go to your priest for that
kind of guidance.
I've mentioned this before, but I'm a feminine feminist who can get a little antsy if and when "sexist" jokes cross a certain line. I've never been shy about slapping peoples asses about it around here. But I can honestly say, cross my heart and hope to spit, on my Girl Scout's honor, may lightening strike me if I lie: that no female referenced joke John has made has EVER even slightly offended me in any remote way. And I'm pretty sensitive about these things! If it doesn't bother me, then it really shouldn't bother anyone else.
And no, I'm not saying this to brown nose John Mayer. He's not even likely to read this.
