I just realized we haven't been talking about this season yet much
No real surprises yet on the eliminations...Elisa is nuts, but she makes 'interesting' clothes. Favorite designs so far: week 1:

its still too early for me to decide who i love/hate just yet. altho that christian kid is getting on my nerves with that voice of his.
ps i am considering running by steve and barrys to see if sjp has that one dress in her collection. ours doesnt carry bitten.

she looked like she was poo-ing fabric!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i don't have a fav yet either, but I am hoping the challenges get better. I feel like a lot of the
designs have been kinda boring.

hehe...in theory elisa's first dress was kind of cool. it wasn't executed well. a few inches off and it might have been stunning.
i seriously love that eggplanty dress from this last week. i too am not sure yet on who i love and loathe. christian reminds me of every 'hipster' gay boy in kansas city. carmen might start annoying me fast. she seemed to be way to much about the suck-upage when talking to sjp. i was sad to see marion go...i don't think his hobo dress was that bad...i didn't really like the winning design that much.

i think the designing has been stepped up..... last season didn't seem very "fashion forward"
i didn't think the winner from week one was that good, its been done. i would know because there's a chick in my 9:30 am class that wears it all the time. |

Gah! Dawn, that first dress you posted is my favorite so far. Was it Jack's design? I can't remember. The colors are so pretty.
I can see Christian annoying me eventually, but right now I find him pretty amusing. Except for his whole "it looks exactly like the drawing" defense on the runway. Shut up and take the criticism. |

I love that last dress in the first post. It was for Bitten, Sarah Jessica Parker's new line. I must say I cannot stand it when they break up into teams.
There's no team effort when you have to design your own line, but I don't really care who stays or goes as long as Tim Gunn remains on the show.
I'm liking Jilian's work so far though.

I keep missing the episodes. I've saw enough bits and pieces of that one episode to say that SJP looks old and her eyes are tiny.

I absolutely love Kit. I didn't realize that she is a stylist for the E! channel until last week. People seem to love her there.

that episode was full of horrible outfits. probably the worst sewing ever displayed on the show, it was hilarious!
eta. my sisters friend was one of the models last night. They didn't show too much of him, his outfit was pretty good too. His designer was the bald guy that won the first challenge. I haven't learned the names yet!

SPOILER.... I missed the ending last night but heard that Jack won the challenge. DId the fact that he took his own shorts off and used it for a pattern come up? I found that kind of shady and thought someone might throw him under the bus for it in hopes of a disqualification. |

nope, wasn't even mentioned. I was really really surprised. I figured since they can't use pattern books that using pre-made clothing as a pattern
would most likely be a problem. I'm guessing ppl will just give him shit about it in the next episode. The judges didn't say a word, neither did Tim
Gunn!

That episode annoyed me to no end. I still have no clue why Sweet P is still on there...that shirt was ridonculous!! Everything was pretty horrific...I agree
that Kit should have won.
In other news, am I the only one that giggled like a little girl when SJP made an appearance in the earlier episode? She's so purty! I wanna learn how to sew and try out! |

Ok i jsut caught the rerun and Jack did ask Tim if they could use their own clothing as models. I guess that means it was ok.
SJP does NOTHING for me. Now her handbags and shoes are another thing. |

funny they added a menswear challenge this year - holla to knowing how to sew instead of just getting by with drapey gowns and craptastic shapeless sportswear!
