I see your point Clarity, but on the same note (pardon the pun) a nice acoustic version of any song can be pretty powerful.. in a very different way. Plus, it
takes many of us back to what we remember of how we first discovered him.

I've been thinking about it, and I'd pass on CIR or Message in a Bottle if he wanted to do Free Fallin' instead. I've been spinning WTLI and I
keep coming back to that song over and over again. It's phenomenal. What are the chances he might bring that out tomorrow night? Fingers crossed?? I'm
also pretty excited at the potential for Stitched Up...let's go 3 shows in a row!

Looks like John & Jen were spotted at Shapiro's in Indy today. Anyone know where this restaurant is? I've only lived here 3 years but have never
heard of it.
I second the comment about the acoustic versions of songs. I like CIR both acoustic & electric for different reasons. I wouldn't mind either for the encore tomorrow night.

Hey Mon...it's on South Meridan, like just past south street. A mom & pop kosher deli...what piqued their interest there, I've no idea, but
it's a great little place. Awesome desserts. If you're ever downtown for lunch, it's the hotspot off the beaten path. Where did you get the scoop
that they were spotted there? When he was in town for the show in 2006, he ate at Maggianos...AKA the restaurant I had just quit working for. Arrrgh! Well, I
hope they have a good 4th in Indy!

It was posted on tryjm.com that they grabbed lunch there. I might have to check that place out sometime then, sounds cool. I remember you saying that about
Maggiano's last year! Kinda fun knowing they are hanging out in our city right now.

Shapiro's is definitely the best deli in Indianapolis. It's been around forever and their food is incredible. Pretty awesome stuff.

Uh YEA! Shapiro's! I went there after the showing of Where the Light Is. The other day. Sort of disappointed I wasn't there TONIGHT instead! I was
working at freakin' Bravo... Grr.
I'm pumped about this show! Can't wait for a taste of summer-time Mayer tunes with some great pals! Goonter, you and Macy had better come visit us out on the lawn.

Anyone know which song won the encore? I've been away from the computer all day due to holiday stuff so I have no idea which song was even in the lead
towards the end.

pretty sure it was CIR...boooooo. i wanted quiet just cuz he never plays it...plus he's always said CIR is the kind of song he needs to be in the right
mood to play it...seems like it wouldn't be an on demand type choice, but oh well.

CIR is a good choice, although I'd enjoy any of the three. CIR usually seems to come out at unplanned moments, so it's a little strange to force him to
play it. He has almost a full day to prepare though. The song seems pretty fitting for the 4th of July holiday.

We don't find out what won the encore until he actually plays it....they don't post the winning song online until after the show. At least that's
how it's been for the other two shows so far.
Considering I live on the northeast side of Indy, I'm not surprised I haven't heard about Shapiro's. I rarely go to the south side...that's why I got lost trying to find the theater down there last week for WTLI

If you're voting toward the end of the night, you can get a pretty good sense of which song is going to win because it shows you after you vote. I knew
that Tracing was going to win chicago because i kept voting for it till midnight and saw that it was in the lead! When John was in Chicago a few years ago, he
came into the restaurant I worked at with Jessica Simpson and for once in my life, I wasn't at work! Made me so angry! But I know the guy that waited on
them and he said they were very nice and very good tippers. But I heard multiple people say that Jessica looked frumpy.

I remember about 6 months ago, before we saw him regularly, he was in a video on TMZ with the wrestler China (sp?) and he mentioned that he knew John Mayer.
They were portrayed as 2 wannabes. He's probably a millionaire!!
