Rolled to my next class (11:45) and found out my first class was CANCELLED, so I figured, hey, maybe i'll luck out with tickets too. Took my laptop into class and logged on...clicked the show...reserved 2 and SECOND ROW CENTER popped up! i said "No way" out loud and people stared at me. clicked submit, and the billing page came up...and THEN...my battery died! haha...then i cussed in the middle of Chaucer class and frantically looked around for an outlet. all of them were taken. so i shut my laptop, said "screw it", and booked outta class down the hall, looking for something to hook it up to. finally found an outlet next to a water fountain, and people continued to look at me like i was crazy. then my computer took FOREVER to boot back up, but the site was still up. i entered my card number and crossed my fingers annnnnnnnnnnd... whew. haha, I GOT THE SEATS. i didn't even wait for my confirmation email. i slammed the comp shut and booked it back into class, and now i'm hype as hell, haha. the combination of patience and impatience paid off! i'll be driving up from SC, and i can't freakin' WAIT! -drew. I went to LA in December (from Atlanta), and I told myself I'd really only be shooting for front row with the pre-sale. After about 45-50 minutes out the open, I nailed a pair in AAA! Regardless of what I previously thought, I think that means I have to go. If not to watch the man tear that guitar apart, then at least to represent Atlanta Atlanta doesn't get tired of you John - come back. Your "music was born there" after all!

The first link is the seating chart for the venue: http://www.greatseats.com/venue/merriweather/seating.asp I don't know what the venue's like at all, since I'll be traveling from Atlanta, but from the reviews I've read, it's decent. There's honestly not a whole lot out there on this venue. (Sorry that wasn't all that much help!)

Pretty much any seat inside the pavilion would be a good one, but I'd shoot for any single letter rows (unless you're lucky enough to be up front in the triple letter rows). It's a lot easier to get in and out of this place than Nissan Pavilion where he usually plays.

I'm traveling from Puerto Rico and this was the best place for me to go, since i dont have to pay hotel and a bunch of stuff. I bought tickets yesterday when they went onsale to the public and the best seats I got were the right of the stage all the way in row JJ. Will anybody be able to record it? I just bought a digital camera today to have some memory of the concert and for other trips i'm taking this summer. If nobody can record it, how much would a recorder of those cost? I was hoping someone was a silly as I am and were going to a slew of the midwest shows/ northeast shows. I have an extra recorder I can send. but so far I only know Monica and Nicole who is going to a couple of shows. This tour is so tight it's impossible to mail the recorder between shows. I am hoping someone will tape some shows and share. i know because of his website that we will get most of the shows with video, but I love the audio tapes as one show, without the stopping and the starting. we'll see I guess debbie "She carries a lot of suitcases but all of them are empty because she's expecting to completely fill them with life by the end of the trip."
