yeah, I can just see Debbie up there singing "I'm on a BOAT!" The "flippie floppies" line and the blowup dolphin, the white sun glasses...classic.....yep, we need to pack the gear and make this the theme song of the boat....now if May May will pick up on this....good times.... I saw Dave Barnes last night and while talking to him after his show, I asked him why he wasn't on the Mayercraft this year. He shrugged and said,
"Oh- because they got different artists." I asked him if they'd even asked him to come back and he said no and that I should tell John Mayer how
disappointed I am. Wasn't he one of (if not the) most popular act(s) other than Mayer last year? I'm just really bummed that it's because he
wasn't asked to return and not because he couldn't make it because of his schedule.

yeah there's no rhyme or reason to who was asked on this boat...i'm thinking they went with a bunch of people who are no names to get them some
exposure. maybe that's the direction they're going with this boat in the future? one big act and then a bunch of ones nobody's heard much about?? i
certainly have heard next to nothing about any of these people aside from maybe one or two songs (except martin sexton whom i looooove). erin mccarley is
managed by the same management as john so i'm sure that has a lot to do with her being there. i'll be skipping her set for sure. not impressed in the
least.

I know that sixthman said that John has control over the artists... soooo knowing John's usual pics at nepotism ...I am thinking everyone pretty much has
some connection with hm, management or his record co.
however I am sorry to hear that about Dave...he was indeed, besides Mayer and David, my favorite artist on the boat last year.... gave an outstanding show and just a nice all around guy. debbie

I will miss Dave and Gabe Dixon. They were definitely one of the highlights of the first Mayercraft.
But I wouldn't call everyone on this year's boat no names. Guster and OAR are really well established bands. |

i honestly keep forgetting guster and oar are on the cruise. to be honest, i enjoy both bands but don't really go out of my way to listen to
them...probably why i keep forgetting about them.

How can you forget about OAR & Guster??? I can't wait to see them both on the boat! And I"m also starting to really like Erin McCarley. Did
anyone else notice there are 3-4 artists on the schedule that are new? At least they are to me because I don't remember them being on any of the
emails.....Joe Pisapia, Mark Mitten, Stars Go Dim???
I just signed up for the wine tasting w/ DRH....really hope it doesn't conflict with anything JM related this year....

yeah i was wondering about that, too, monica. i read an article recently that said stars go dim weren't even going on the boat because they're
attending the juno awards (Canadian grammys) so???? i was shocked they were even mentioned in the article because i hadn't even heard they were going to
begin with!
 i'm in for wine tasting with drh, too, and i'm hoping it doesn't conflict as well. i think enough people complained after last
year about it that they probably remembered to schedule it appropriately.

Mark Mitten is the magician who was sailing with us last year. He was circulating amongst the L-83'ers at their welcome aboard party. I don' t know if
he did a stage show, I didn't see one . Nice guy and great at his craft!
