Wanted to share that LeRoi Moore from DMB passed away today in L.A. I know he and JM played together, so I hope this news is relevant to all of you. It
shocked me. Unfortunately, my only source is Perez and TMZ, but the official word from the band supposedly is, "LeRoi Moore, saxophonist and founding
member of Dave Matthews Band, died unexpectedly Tuesday afternoon, August 19, 2008, at Hollywood Presbyterian Medical Center in Los Angeles from sudden
complications stemming from his June ATV accident on his farm near Charlottesville, Virginia. Moore had recently returned to his Los Angeles home to begin an
intensive physical rehabilitation program."

RIP.
When I was a kid, when I was a little boy, I always wanted to be a dinosaur. I wanted to be a Tyrannosaurus Rex more than anything in the world! I made my arms short, and I roamed the backyard, and I chased the neighborhood cats, and I growled and I roared and everybody knew me and was afraid of me. But then one day my dad said "Bobby, you're 17. It's time to throw childish things aside." And I said, "Okay, Pop." But he really didn't say that, he said "Quit being a fucking dinosaur and get a job." |

DMB's main website... nicely done http://www.dmband.com/
Dave Matthews paid tribute to LeRoi on August 19, 2008 at the Staples Center, Los Angeles, CA after the first song "Bartender." "We all had some bad news today," Matthews told the sell-out crowd. "Our good friend LeRoi Moore passed on and gave his ghost up today and we will miss him forever." Fans then shouted Moore's name in tribute. R.I.P. LeRoi

RIP LeRoi Moore
I was sad that I didn't get to see him play with the band this summer, this is so sudden...I didn't know his injuries were so serious. |

I saw him play one of his last shows in June and then just got back from Virginia Beach to see them and I really missed him on stage and this is just such
devastating news this morning. I've been a fan since I was about 11 or 12 years old and He is just such an amazing and gifted musician it's going to be
unbelievably difficult to get over him not being up there with them on that stage anymore.
