Truly, Sounds change visuals. The Hurt sounds like a masterpiece already. Friends Lovers or Nothing is one more of those atmosphere changing addictive songs. The other's, well, I listened on youtube, I definitely see great potentials even though the videos were slow and bad. > That came from one of your Musician/ Guitarist type fans.

It could relate to the new album so I thought I'd post it here http://www.digitalspy.com/music/a165374/james-morrison-to-write-with-john-mayer.html James Morrison has revealed that he is planning a collaboration with John Mayer. The 'Please Don't Stop The Rain' singer became friendly with Mayer when he supported the US rocker on his outdoor 'Sheds' tour. Speaking to the Daily Star, he said: "John offered for me to go to his studio to write together. I've been writing a few new things as a result." However, the British star quipped that he would have to pry Mayer away from his Twitter account in order for any work to be done. ~Miguel~

Laying off a little in the coming weeks. Need books, thoughts, a sequence of ideas that build. I guess I was under the impression that the album was already written and currently being tracked and produced to perfection. But if he's still writing, that could definitely mean a later release date. I know it'll be worth it but I'm SO READY for a new album ... and to find out about what I hope will be a summer '10 tour, since I'm saving up to road trip for a handful of shows. Is anyone is anxious as I am?? I hate to say I'm almost worried ... then again, I'm also the most impatient person I know. "You wouldn't know me if your eyes were closed."

If there was no Twitter and he would cut down on the drunken nights, the album would probably be done sooner. But maybe I'm wrong, and anyway, it's his life and work, and if he needs to, he should take his time. But, general impression: not done yet.

I didn't get to go to a Mayer show with my Mayer friends. On the other hand, we all looked into new music from other artists and found some pretty amazing stuff. Like we've all said before, John's new cd will be ready when it's ready. Nothing to do but wait.

After all the guesstimated track lists created on this board from the songs he's mentioned so far (most via Twitter), it seemed like there's enough for an album already. But who am I to talk? He'll know when he's achieved something complete. I can only guess that it's taking longer than we all hoped because of his being a self-proclaimed perfectionist--which should actually be really flattering for his fans, since he obviously wants to put out not only a finished product, but one that's thorough, heartfelt, and inspiring. "You wouldn't know me if your eyes were closed."
