Um. Someone please pick an 'effin bridesmaid dress for me. I like the tea-length but I'm having a relatively formal wedding (ceremony is outdoors in a
courtyard), so my mom thinks "formal wedding" = floor length only. ARGH. What to do?

I think the tea length looks a bit informal. I love tea length but maybe something with a fuller skirt to make it look more formal? something like this:

I have to go timarie's suggestion, unless all your bridesmaids are a size zero with no boobs?
or, if all your dresses are coming from the same place (so the color is the same) have your girls choose similar lengths, fabrics and finishes (ruching, wrap, bows, whatever), but they don't all have to be exactly the same? skinny no boobs can go strapless, someone can choose a spaghetti straps, or thicker if they need to wear a bra, etc. the last wedding i went to, all wore strapless and whoa, uncomfortable. lots of fidgeting. as guests ( none of us at the table knew any of the bridesmaids) were taking on bets on who'd expose themselves first). catty, i know, but whaddya do.
