Obviously. Tropicana Field is a dome, it wouldn't matter if it was raining.. I was implying the weather effects were far reaching.
And also, I don't think Fenway has ever NOT hosted an opening day, at least not in the modern era. It's like one of the greatest things in sports. |

The Reds opening at home is the traditional opening day game. ESPN creating the Sunday game the day before has kinda ruined things for opening day in my mind, there's no tradition behind it anymore. It's like the Thursday night NFL game before the first Sunday. and the Red Sox haven't opened at home since '02. |

ooh, just got an email from a recruiter about a job here. they didnt say what, but in my daily job hunt on careerbuilder, i think i found it. it's for an
agency like i used to work for in kc, and 2 steps above my last position there. i'm a bit underqualifed- have the industry experience, but not the
mgmt...but i'm def going to followup on. it could be more like an assist exec position, which if i were still at the agency in kc now, i'd be. (if the
opp were there). plus, it can't hurt to throw my name in. if i get passed over, at least they know i'm here and if something else comes up i'd have
the name recognition.

good luck, dawn. anytime i get the thought that I want to move back to Indiana I dismiss it pretty quickly after realizing i'd have to find a job again.
probably one of my least favorite things to do

yeah...job hunting sucks. i want a change, but i'm not blasting my resume any/everywhere- only companies and jobs that would not suck my soul. that helps.
i can sell that i'm not just applying for the sake of needing a job- but it's a job that i WANT.
i just got off the phone with the recruiter- they were waiting anxiously for my call (good sign #1). the acct exec position is one for someone w/ growth potential (#2- since it would be a big step up for me). and #3- they just placed someone at this agency that worked in the chicago office of my old agency. i'm waiting on a callback for interview to likely occur tomorrow. ~ dawn

let's see... maybe if you see my calendar you'll understand why there's no posting.
1-Thursday, try and find new glasses as the ones i have now have cat bite marks on the lenses 2-Friday, root canal as you can see, the excitement never ends and I just figure no one cares to read about such trivial things |

haha, he grabbed my glasses off of the bathroom counter while I was showering. The lenses are plastic and he's a chewer. So now I try to focus through the
bites (which are essentially little chips).
