I'm really sorry about your dad. Stop This Train has meant so much to so many who have lost their parents. When I met JM at a meet and greet, I delivered a letter from someone who was able to stay off of anti-depressants after losing his dad all because of that song. Someone else already answered but let me add that he said quite a bit about his dad before singing that song, that his parents are educators and his dad is an historian and how much his parents wanted him to do something else. But they showed their faith in him and his dad continued to wave goodbye to him as he left on the bus even though John knew that his dad couldn't see him behind the tinted windows. That that is "what parenting is all about. Real love." Or something like that, not a direct quote. I just watched that Belief deck vid and I swear I could feel the boat moving all over again. That was really weird. Nice guitar on that one.
