Respect Debbie's decision. Wish John would allow taping for these, but he's already been fairly generous with song fragments and stuff (as well as what
he played on the boat).

you tire me wrote:i don't think this has anything to do with john's shout out on the boat. when the man stands 5 feet in front of you and says "can you guys please not tape this stuff?" you tend to put your shit down if you're a decent person. i can understand exactly why he asked it. it's new material and if he doesn't want the tabloids scooping him before the album's out he's allowed to ask people not to tape. he was playing to a tiny crowd (those who don't know...the hotel cafe is about the size of my kitchen) of (assumingly) all fans. if he were in a gigantic arena full of 10/20,000 people i'd say you're out of your mind for trying to get people not to tape. but 100 people, all of whom you can look in the eye from the stage? easier to do. |

I was trying to find the right words to say pretty much the same thing, cait. Completely agree with you.
And, as most of us, I wish I was there. Probably there will be some more? Anyways, congratulations to those who were there.

Relax. I was giving Debbie a well-deserved pat-on-the-back. Nothing more.

Thanks for the review Debbie! I respect you for, and expected you to not tape it after I read his twitter.

Debbie - After the twitter, the first thing I thought of was Robbie! He would have text me something alone the lines of "Do you think we can make
it?" and then the eventual, "I hope Debbie records it."
Glad you made it --- SAFELY! "The Heart of Life is Good" In Loving Memory of Robbie Cash SEP 23, 1988 - JAN 25, 2009 |

moleman23 wrote:Or "teachers helpers unite." Debbie can't go wrong - tape / no tape. She could've hate-crimed, bashed and face-mawled a flamer on the way to Hotel Cafe and everyone would have been happy to have known she DIDN'T tape the concert! In all teacher's helper seriousness - thanks again, Debbie, for just....going to the concert? I bet you looked hot naked. |

serenityrose wrote: OMG, I am in the crowd at 1:40 min. LOL...it actually looks worse in this clip than it did in person. Something about seeing the action between the flashes gives it a disjointed, frenetic feel. In truth, it was just our sweet John putting his guitar in the trunk and signing for a fan. The two paps got into a little war of words just after. Someone should have gotten that on video! |

Was he really carrying Amy Kuney's lyric book? (He was recently spotted carrying her cd post-workout).
If so, that's great news. I saw her open for Ari Hest about a month ago and she is quite amazing. I'm seeing the next tour opener being Amy Kuney. |

I heard a rumour that Friends, lover or nothing basically explains the story line behind the show Friends, he wrote it while with Jennifer and recorded it so
he can't back out now.
You heard it here first Ryan Seacrest and TMZ.

Man, of all nights for my internet to be DOWN! (#$)(*&^(+$#*$#
Awesome review tho Deb...for not being 'good' at reviewing you did a nice job. What a great opportunity you guys had, glad you and Karen could have been there to hear it! Thanks for that, and I fully support you on your decision not to tape. It was the only courteous thing you could have done under the circumstances. Kudos.
He gives us so much, if that was his wish, then so be it.

So freaking jealous that I don't live in California and couldn't go to this show. But noooo, I'm in Toronto writing papers and exams. FML.
Debbie: good review! And good on you for not taping. I want to hear those songs, but I'd much rather have John feel comfortable to share without worrying that RS will circle teh interwebs looking for something to pick at |
