How much would you pay for a Chinese guitar? |

Regardless of the company...what is the most you would pay for a guitar made in China?

I don't really care where it's made actually. If I like a guitar, I will buy it. Just because it's "Made in USA" it doesn't mean
it's good...I wouldn't spend more than 1000 dollars on any guitar, I can find good for 400

adam972 wrote:Depends on how it's made. If it's basswood (which many cheap guitars from China are made of) then I wouldn't pay much at all. Some people like the sound of guitars made from basswood, I myself much prefer Alder or Ash. A guitar can be assembled in any country in the world, and if it's made with quality components I'd pay good money for it. |

I'd def have to plug it in and play it first. I mean you never know. What would you pay if it felt "perfect"?

Chinese guitars are mostly bad b/c thats what they are spec'd at by the companies that want them made, with Modern CNC machines the chinese are just as
capable of making a fine instrument which is evident in the Squier Classic Vibe series:

The 'banjo' effect in that video just kills me. I watched it half expecting some dude in a wife-beater and straw hat to start calling a square dance.

yes... buy chinese and korean. you're supporting those 9 year old kids that have are kidnapped from their homes to make you the cheapest possible guitar,
ipod, etc.... great idea. All the while they're being pumped full of drugs so they can stay up longer and make even cheaper guitars!!! that's the goal
of society. cheap crap. I refuse to buy anything made in these godforsaken places including mexico.
