Buffalo and Cleveland Suggestions |
Lead | |
|
I know there's some folks here who might be able to offer a few suggestions on something to do/see in both Buffalo and Cleveland. I'll have a few hours
in each city and am wondering if there's a must see/do thing.
thanks.

Cleveland = Rock 'n Roll Hall of Fame?
I doubt there's anything worth seeing in that shithole. Sorry, Ohio people. Kim |

thanks Kim.. I also am thinking about stopping at the Anchor Bar, the home of the original Buffalo chicken wing, for lunch.

original buffalo wings are a good call for buffalo. also, niagara falls is like 30 minutes outside...that would seem like a no brainer to me if the time
exists.
cleveland...R&R HOF is definitely a good call. if the indians are in town and playing there, i hear jacobs field is pretty awesome. but i don't know if you'll have the time for that. |

Buffalo isn't so bad for a visit. There's plenty to do for a few days. It's especially heavy on the arts scene -- lots of live music
performances, a decent theater scene, the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra, the Albright-Knox Art Gallery, lots of nice festivals like the Allentown Arts
Festival, the Chicken Wing festival, and the Taste of Buffalo. Depending on the time of your visit, you might also catch the Erie County Fair or a football or
hockey game (Bills games are lots of fun because Buffalo sports fans are RIDICULOUSLY RABID Check out the free or super-cheap musical performances downtown during the summer, which this year include Better Than Ezra, Los Lonely Boys, George Clinton (all free) and The Black Crowes or The Wallflowers ($10 in advance). I don't know anything about architecture, but I do know Buffalo is famous for it. The downtown area has some very old, beautiful buildings including one that is a national landmark. Also Buffalo has a lot of work by Frank Lloyd Wright, I believe you can tour some of the houses. Definitely go for chicken wings - good wings can be found just about anywhere in Buffalo, but if you want to go where the locals go, skip the Anchor Bar and
go to Duff's. Prepare yourself for a lot of grease.
